About the Role

As a Credit Controller, you play a key role in safeguarding the financial health of the organization. You take ownership of the end to end credit management process, ensuring timely follow up on outstanding receivables while maintaining strong, professional relationships with customers.

This is not a purely administrative role. You act as a business partner, translating financial data into insights, managing risk, and continuously improving how we approach credit control. You bring structure, clarity, and a proactive mindset to everything you do.

This role can be based either in Gent, Vilvoorde or Gembloux.

Challenge

This role combines financial ownership, stakeholder management, and continuous improvement.

Your key challenges:

• Ensuring consistent and timely follow up on outstanding receivables

• Translating financial data into clear insights and actionable reports

• Managing complex and sensitive customer situations, including disputes and escalations

• Acting as a trusted partner to customers, negotiating solutions and payment plans

• Collaborating cross functionally to prevent bottlenecks and improve cash flow

• Continuously improving processes, tools, and ways of working

You will need to balance accuracy with speed, and firmness with a solution oriented and customer focused approach.

Profile

You are a structured, analytical, and proactive professional with a strong sense of ownership.

You bring:

• Experience in credit control, accounts receivable, or a similar financial role

• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret and act on financial data

• A detail oriented mindset combined with the ability to see the bigger picture

• Confidence in handling customer interactions, including negotiations and sensitive discussions

• A proactive approach, constantly identifying opportunities for improvement

In addition, you:

• Take full ownership of your work, managing files from start to finish

• Are comfortable working with digital tools and adapting to new systems

• Communicate clearly and professionally, both written and verbal

• Work independently while contributing positively to a team environment

Language requirements:

• Fluent in Dutch and French

• Good command of English
